ANCC is now offering a Web-based version of the popular Test-Taking Strategies Review and Resource. You will be able to work with this highly-acclaimed skills development content from your computer – anytime, anywhere. All you need is access to the Web. Please note: this is a generic skills course and not specific to any ANCC exam.

What material does the program include?
The Web course is based on the same content as the popular “Test-Taking Strategies Review and Resource Manual.” This material has helped hundreds of nurses improve their test-taking skills by offering…

  • Ways to prepare for the exam – mentally, physically, and academically
  • More than a dozen critical test-taking skills that can help ease your experience
  • 50 Practice Questions – related to the nursing field, that articulate what test-taking skills best aide you in answering the question properly
  • New online format provides the ability to take practice questions over and over again, with real-time input on your answers

What technical capabilities do I need?
All you need to get going is an e-mail address and access to the Internet. Even those with dial-up access will be able to take full advantage of this course.

When can I take this course?
The Web-based course will be available for 3 months from the month you enroll.  As an example:

June 30

etc...

You can test yourself with the review questions, that articulate specific test-taking skills that can enhance your ability to answer the questions, as many times as you like during this period. 

How do I access the course?
Simply click on the enrollment link below or at the top right of this page link below. You will be asked to register and submit your credit card information. Once you are done you will receive a confirmation e-mail which will give you login information and a direct link to the Web course.

Note: You will use the login and password that you create during the purchase process to log in to the course. After this, you can to access all materials at anytime through the Web.

How much does it cost?
We are offering this Web course for a significantly-discounted registration fee. The Test-Taking Techniques booklet normally lists for $40. You are invited to enroll for a limited-time offering of this Web-based version for only $18. There are NO contact hours available for this course.

Why such a big discount?
The contents of the booklet and the Web-based version are identical. In exchange for this discount, we are asking all Web course registrants to provide us with your feedback on the program. Shortly after the course period closes, we will be contacting you via email and asking you to complete a short survey on your experiences with the material.
