Curricula Development Community
APTA is very pleased to announce its plans to develop transit specific online curricula for the transit industry, developed in collaboration with APTA members and our many partners.
APTA plans to pilot its initial online module in signal training for rail operators in June, 2006. The rail signal training online community is reserved for those APTA members who volunteered to serve as curricula advisors, reviewers, subject matter experts, adjunct faculty, and other roles. APTA will keep its members updated on the progress of this course and its June pilot.
In the future, APTA also plans to pilot and roll out a suite of mini-online and blended learning programs to support the safety and security auditing needs of our members. The upcoming safety and security training online community will include virtual areas for those APTA members who volunteer to serve as curricula advisors, reviewers, subject matter experts, adjunct faculty, and other roles. |
