Leadership APTA

General information
Leadership APTA is a professional development program whose goal is to identify, develop, and support the next generation of public transportation and APTA leaders. We invite APTA members to use this site to pose general questions about the program. We encourage alumni and members to share experiences and key learnings about the program.
Through Leadership APTA, selected individuals participate in a combination of specialized Leadership APTA workshops, sessions, class research projects, teleconferences, online events, and APTA conferences that address the challenges, demands, and key topics of our industry. Through these events, Leadership APTA participants begin to develop and refine the skills they need to succeed as leaders in public transportation and APTA. The Leadership APTA Committee selects twenty-five individuals from APTA members to participate in the program which begins in the fall at APTA's Annual Meeting and concludes with the class's graduation at the following APTA Annual Meeting.
