The first courses from CSWE are part of the CSWE Gero-Ed Center ELearning series and are offered at no cost:
Provides faculty with a framework for making decisions related to the design, implementation, and sustainability of a formalized specialized gerontological curricular structure (e.g., minor, certificate, concentration, specialization). Approximately 3 hours; 3 CEUs provided for successful completion.
A short, 15-minute introductory course that reviews key demographic indicators of our aging society, the role of social work in meeting the needs of older adults, and the Gero-Ed Center's curricular and organizational strategies for preparing students for these opportunities. 0 CEUs
Presents a process of planned curricular and organizational change developed by the Gero-Ed Center to embed gerontological competencies into required generalist curriculum to ensure that all graduates are prepared to work with older adults. Approximately 3 hours; 3 CEUs provided for successful completion.
